A guided tour of the city of Fes would be unforgettable; however, this is not easy if you don’t know the city very well or without an experienced and knowledgeable guide. Thus your guide is at your disposal to guide you to the most gorgeous places and sights as well as provide you with all tips you would need during the tour.
The tour takes you through the narrow, meandering alleys and discovers what’s hidden along these streets. Navigate the narrow streets and stop whenever it is needed. Explore the most famous mosques, Nejjarine Square and Wood Museum, a tannery and countless traditional Souks.
Visit the Zaouia (sanctuary) of Moulay Idriss II, the founder of Fes centuries ago. You may not be allowed to enter the shrine; however, you can peer in through the gates or stand near the entrance and go back with your imagination through centuries while you are listening to your guide explaining and giving information about it. You can also see a large block covered in green.
The Kairaouiyne Mosque is also a monument that is worth visited in the city of Fes. The Mosque is the second largest mosque in Morocco after the Hassan II Mosque. It was founded in the 10th century by Fatima al-Fihri, the daughter of a refugee from Tunisia. It is considered as the oldest and the important university in the world.
There are no activities planned until an evening welcome meeting. Additional Notes: We highly recommend booking pre-tour accommodation to fully experience this crazy city.
